Junior Process Safety Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Process Safety Consultant to join our fast‑growing consultancy in Glasgow. You will work on real projects across multiple industries, gaining early exposure to technical safety assessments while being supported by senior experts.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of process safety and risk management services for clients in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, renewables and distilled spirits.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP and LOPA studies under the guidance of senior consultants.
• Support the preparation of technical reports, safety cases and compliance documentation (DSEAR, HAC, COMAH).
• Travel to client sites across the UK and Europe to gather data and present findings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share knowledge within the team.

Required profile

• A degree in Chemical Engineering or a related risk/engineering discipline.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available) and a full UK driving licence.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce clear technical reports.
• Willingness to travel regularly and work from our Southside Glasgow office.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a genuine interest in becoming a technical expert.
