Junior/Mid iOS Developer – Manchester or Belfast

About the role

We are seeking a Junior to Mid‑level iOS Developer to join an innovative digital consultancy that blends strategy, technology and design. You will work in multidisciplinary teams to create high‑impact mobile experiences for global brands, with a hybrid work model that combines office collaboration and remote flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the architectural design of iOS applications.
• Develop and maintain advanced iOS apps using Swift and, when needed, Objective‑C.
• Collaborate with designers to implement UI/UX that follows Apple guidelines.
• Integrate apps with backend services, APIs and third‑party libraries.
• Perform testing, debugging and performance optimisation across iOS devices.
• Produce technical documentation and ensure compliance with App Store and security standards.
• Stay current with iOS development trends, tools and best practices.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of commercial experience developing iOS applications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to mentor junior developers and influence architectural decisions.

Required skills

• Swift and Objective‑C.
• iOS frameworks: UIKit, CoreData, CoreAnimation, SwiftUI.
• Understanding of Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
• RESTful API integration and JSON handling.
• Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Unit testing, UI testing and debugging.
• Performance optimisation, memory management, multithreading and concurrency.
• Architectural patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Nice‑to‑have: ARKit, CoreML, advanced SwiftUI.
