About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic, fun‑loving individuals to join our kitchen team at The Red Well pub in Wellingborough. No prior experience is required – just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to stay calm under pressure. You will work as part of a supportive crew to prepare and cook food while keeping the kitchen clean and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to the required specifications.
• Operate kitchen workstations such as grills, fryers, microwaves and other equipment.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, allergen control and health & safety.
• Clean as you go and perform full kitchen clean‑downs at the end of shifts.
• Rotate stock, store food safely and follow stock‑taking procedures.
• Complete induction, role‑specific training and ongoing refresher sessions.

Required profile

• Friendly, reliable and team‑oriented.
• Good attitude and willingness to learn.
• Calm under pressure and able to work flexible shift patterns.

Required skills

• Food preparation and cooking.
• Operating kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, microwaves).
• Food hygiene and safety compliance.
