Laboratory Technician – Sunday to Thursday Shift

About the role

ALS is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join its Trowbridge facility, working a Sunday‑to‑Thursday shift (12:30 pm‑9 pm). The role involves testing a variety of finished food products and ingredients, supporting the sample receipt team on weekends, and ensuring high‑quality analytical results.

Key responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of food products and ingredients according to documented methods.
• Conduct daily quality control checks and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation.
• Record results accurately and follow all site Quality Management and Health & Safety procedures.
• Support the sample receipt department during weekend shifts.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Good time‑management and methodical approach to work.
