Marketing Category Manager – EMEA

About the role

As a Marketing Category Manager within Google’s Procurement Organization, you will lead the development and execution of innovative sourcing strategies for marketing services across the EMEA region. You will partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to unlock value, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance with legal and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation and implementation of category strategies aligned with Google’s objectives for indirect spend categories such as events, media, sponsorship, and co‑marketing.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure high‑quality service delivery and continuous improvement.
• Lead sourcing activities including RFx processes, negotiations, and supplier evaluations.
• Analyze procurement data, generate reports, and provide insights to guide decision‑making.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process efficiencies, and innovation within the category.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to draft, review, and manage agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 7 years of multi‑disciplinary procurement experience, including sourcing strategy development, negotiations, and supplier evaluation.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting category strategy and sourcing within marketing services or related areas.
• Proven ability to partner cross‑functionally and manage agreement processes.
