M&E Site Manager – National Grid Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced M&E Site Manager to lead major high‑voltage infrastructure projects across the UK. The role focuses on managing site activities within National Grid substations ranging from 66kV to 400kV.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day site operations for HV transmission projects.
• Ensure compliance with National Grid Transmission procedures and NEC contract requirements.
• Coordinate health, safety and environmental (HSE) and CDM regulations on site.
• Manage temporary works and sub‑contractor activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and IT systems related to project delivery.

Required profile

• NG Competent Person – NSI 6 & 8 Full.
• Current TP137 Authorisation and Impressed Voltage Awareness.
• SMSTS, NEBOSH, IOSH certifications.
• Temporary Works Supervisor qualification.
• HSG47 or equivalent.
• First Aid at Work (3‑day) certification.
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification.
• Strong knowledge of HSE & CDM regulations.
• Proficient IT literacy.
