About the role
The Mental Health Practitioner will join the East Dunbartonshire Community Mental Health Team, delivering specialist ADHD assessments and low‑level psychological therapies. Working closely with a psychiatrist, you will manage a small caseload while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive ADHD assessments and monitor medication for assigned patients.
- Deliver low‑level psychological therapies individually and in group settings.
- Work autonomously and as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
- Support junior staff and student nurses, contributing to team development.
- Travel to various clinics across East Dunbartonshire as required.
Required profile
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (1st level) with the NMC.
- Minimum three years post‑graduate experience in mental health.
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
- Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 09:00‑17:00 (one day finishing at 15:30).
Required skills
- ADHD assessment and medication monitoring.
- Delivery of low‑level psychological therapies.
