About the role
The Merchandising Admin Assistant supports River Island’s merchandising team by ensuring data accuracy, performing analysis and helping to drive commercial performance across all channels. This entry‑level position is based at the Head Office in West London and offers exposure to retail product, stock and sales processes.
Key responsibilities
- Enter and maintain up‑to‑date merchandising data, including weekly intake forecasts and allocation worklists.
- Assist with analysis and reporting on sales, stock, commitments, markdowns and margins as directed by senior merchandisers.
- Support the execution and tracking of promotions and markdowns.
- Maintain accurate product attribution within the single‑view system.
- Collaborate with Core Merchandising, Distribution Hub and Buying teams to improve processes.
- Use store visits, sales history and market insights to recommend actions that enhance performance.
Required profile
- Entry‑level candidate with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn quickly.
- Highly organised with good prioritisation skills.
- Collaborative, disciplined and results‑oriented.
- Curious mindset with a keen interest in fashion products and the River Island brand.
Required skills
- Computer literacy and ability to learn new merchandising systems.
