Multi Skilled Fabric Technician – Maintenance

About the role

Pret is seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Fabric Technician to join a high‑performing team responsible for maintaining the fabric and fit‑out of its shops across the UK. You will work on a rota, travelling to stores as needed, and ensure repairs are completed quickly with minimal disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out minor fabric repairs, painting and wall work (plaster, brick slips, wall repairs).
• Maintain ironmongery – doors, locks, handles and related hardware.
• Perform tiling, grouting, trim and beading, and door‑mat/threshold levelling.
• Repair or replace skirting boards, ceiling tiles, grids, toilet seats and silicone seals.
• Unblock toilets and sinks, and repair chairs, tables and benches.
• Maintain lighting fixtures, replace lamps and fittings.
• Keep work areas clean, store tools properly and dispose of waste safely.
• Use a hand‑held device to report work progress and communicate with shop teams.
• Work at height where required and travel nationwide on a flexible schedule.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar maintenance environment.
• Relevant trade qualification preferred (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to escalate sensitive issues promptly.
• Flexibility to work within a rota covering 7am‑7pm weekdays and 8am‑4:30pm weekends.
