Multi-Skilled HVAC Engineer

As a Multi-Skilled HVAC Engineer in Sedgefield, you will ensure the seamless operation of essential electrical and mechanical systems, playing a key part in facility excellence and client satisfaction.

Main Missions

• Perform comprehensive electrical and mechanical maintenance on building installations and equipment.
• Execute preventive and reactive maintenance programs to ensure maximum system availability.
• Diagnose faults across all HVAC systems, with a specific focus on Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) systems.
• Manage environmental conditions via Building Management Systems (BMS) and optimize facility performance.
• Identify and mitigate equipment-related risks while ensuring the availability of critical spare parts.
• Supervise subcontractors and maintain rigorous health and safety standards, including risk assessments.
• Utilize mobile technology and CAFM systems for efficient task planning and documentation.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience or apprenticeship in HVAC maintenance is essential.
• Certified mechanical skills (City & Guilds) are required.
• Must hold valid F-Gas qualifications for refrigerant handling.
• Ability to work flexibly, including overtime (nights/weekends) and participate in an emergency on-call rotation.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with site supervisors and account managers.
• Leadership potential to act as a deputy supervisor when required.
