Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Ross‑On‑Wye. You will be responsible for keeping plant and electrical equipment running safely and efficiently, supporting both day and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Identify failure modes of plant and electrical equipment and restore them to operation within reasonable timescales.
• Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns, recording work via the maintenance management system.
• Liaise with day‑shift engineering teams to resolve long‑term issues and implement corrective actions.
• Locate, collect and return spare parts, ensuring accurate stock control.
• Execute preventive maintenance routines and planned preventative maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with fellow engineers to meet scheduled maintenance targets.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Completed an apprenticeship as a Maintenance Engineer.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong reporting ability and capacity to work under pressure.
