Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team and ensure the reliability of our woodworking, packaging and painting production lines. You will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, support equipment upgrades and contribute to continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery and site services.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
• Support installation, commissioning, modification and improvement of machinery.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing and calibration of equipment.
• Maintain accurate records in the CMMS system.
• Assist with procurement of spare parts and consumables.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and electrical regulations.
• Support contractors, suppliers and cross‑functional teams as required.

Required profile

• Completed electrical or multi‑skilled engineering apprenticeship or equivalent (e.g., ONC/OND or higher).
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with strong fault‑finding on CNC and automated machinery.
• Good understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Self‑motivated, excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to work at heights and undertake physically demanding tasks.
