About the role
Join the Out Of Hours team to become the trusted voice that supports the public during urgent repairs and critical services. You will work remotely from anywhere in the UK, handling high‑pressure calls and providing calm, helpful assistance to distressed callers.
Key responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls during out‑of‑hours shifts and provide accurate information and guidance.
- Record caller details and incident data accurately in the system.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate service teams.
- Maintain a professional and empathetic tone throughout each interaction.
Required profile
- Experience in a customer‑facing or service‑focused role, preferably in a call‑handling environment.
- Secondary education minimum; additional qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3) are a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Team‑player mindset with resilience in fast‑paced settings.
Required skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

- Two shift options: 24 hrs/week (£15,986.88/yr) or 16 hrs/week (£10,657.92/yr).
