About the role
This part‑time academic appointment is for teaching POLI 3446.03 (Politics of Crime) during the Winter 2027 term at Dalhousie University. The role involves delivering in‑person lectures and managing all aspects of the course.
Key responsibilities
- Teach POLI 3446.03 (Politics of Crime) during the Winter 2027 term, delivering in‑person lectures on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Prepare and administer examinations, assignments, and assessments.
- Manage course administration, including grading, record‑keeping, and student communication.
- Collaborate with the Department Chair and adhere to departmental policies.
Required profile
- PhD or near‑completion in Political Science (or closely related field).
- Strong knowledge of the intersection between politics and criminal justice.
- Demonstrated ability to teach university‑level courses; prior teaching experience is an asset.
- Canadian citizenship or permanent residency preferred.
