People Engagement Sessional Worker – Wildchild Activities

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic People Engagement Sessional Workers to deliver Wildchild activities for children aged 0‑18 and their families, as well as hands‑on learning programmes for school groups. The role involves working at our centres, on school grounds and in nature reserves to inspire young people and teach them about wildlife and wild places. These positions are sessional and flexible, allowing you to contribute to community education while gaining valuable experience in outdoor facilitation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging outdoor activities for children and families.
• Facilitate hands‑on learning sessions for school groups at various locations.
• Promote understanding of wildlife, conservation and natural environments.
• Work collaboratively with a busy team to ensure smooth programme delivery.
• Adapt activities to suit different age groups and abilities.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people in outdoor settings, formal or informal.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational abilities.
• Self‑motivated, enthusiastic and able to work independently.
• Ability to build rapport and be respected by children and young people.
