Personal Tax Compliance Senior

About the role

We are a well‑established Top 50 accountancy practice looking to expand our Tax Department. As a Personal Tax Compliance Senior you will manage a portfolio of around 200 clients, ranging from high‑net‑worth individuals to entrepreneurs, landlords and trusts, working from our modern London office.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit personal tax returns for a diverse client base.
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and deliver tailored solutions.
• Handle wider compliance work, including Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, trust regulations, SEIS/EIS filings and HMRC enquiries.
• Ensure accurate record‑keeping and timely filing of all client tax obligations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in personal tax compliance across a broad client base, including HNWIs and trusts.
• Strong technical knowledge of complex personal tax matters.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client relationships.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Personal tax return preparation.
• Capital Gains Tax (CGT) calculations.
• Inheritance Tax (IHT) returns.
• Trust regulations and compliance.
• SEIS/EIS knowledge.
• Handling HMRC enquiries.
