Personal Tax Manager

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established professional services firm in Runcorn as a Personal Tax Manager. You will lead the delivery of high‑quality personal tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the personal tax compliance process for a portfolio of clients.
• Provide advisory services on inheritance tax, capital gains tax and other personal tax matters.
• Prepare and submit personal tax returns accurately and on time.
• Identify and advise on tax planning opportunities.
• Serve as the main point of contact for client queries and solutions.
• Assist with HMRC enquiries and liaise with tax authorities.
• Mentor and support junior team members.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in UK tax legislation and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Professional qualification such as ATT, CTA or equivalent in taxation/accounting.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation and compliance processes.
• Experience managing a client portfolio within a professional services environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proactive problem‑solving and tax planning mindset.
