Plant Support Senior Technician

About the role

Lotus UK Manufacturing is looking for a Plant Support Senior Technician to join its Facilities team at the Hethel manufacturing site. The role focuses on day‑to‑day maintenance of production equipment and plant services, ensuring smooth operation of high‑performance sports car production.

Key responsibilities

• Inform production managers of maintenance activities and progress.
• Check and calibrate key production and metrology equipment for internal and external audits.
• Carry out minor electrical and compressed‑air installations and improvements.
• Perform building maintenance, move and install small plant items, and conduct routine servicing.
• Plan larger maintenance tasks, prepare method statements and risk assessments.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and update certificates, legislative records, and asset registers.
• Repair production equipment, investigate machine failures, and maintain tidy workshop environments.
• Manage specialist component stock, support external contractors, and raise work permits.

Required profile

• GCSEs in Maths, Science, English and Design & Technology (or equivalent).
• Understanding of engineering drawings and principles.
• Good practical and technical abilities.
• Awareness of health & safety legislation.
