Plant Yard Operative & General Duties Labourer

About the Role

Join Lindum Plant, one of the county's leading specialists in plant hire and equipment maintenance. We are looking for a dedicated and versatile Plant Yard Operative to join our Lincoln team and support our comprehensive range of services, from small tools to heavy construction machinery.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare, inspect, and manually stack non-mechanical products including fencing, blocks, and barriers.
• Manage daily delivery preparation, including order picking and stretch wrapping.
• Handle loading and unloading of vehicles and assist in loading machinery transport trucks.
• Maintain equipment standards through cleaning, disinfecting, and painting site cabins and rental gear.
• Assist with quality control, damage verification, and perform minor mechanical repairs.
• Conduct daily yard inventory checks and occasionally drive collection vehicles.
• Move equipment and machinery safely around the yard area.

Candidate Profile

• Must hold a full UK driving license with the ability to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Previous experience operating a telehandler is highly desirable.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work a 4-day week schedule (including Mondays and Fridays).
