Principal Designer – Luxury Residential Interiors

About the role

RH Interior Design, a global leader in luxury residential interiors, is expanding its London studio. We are looking for a Principal Designer to shape and deliver high‑end projects, guide clients through the full design journey and champion the brand’s design ethos.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a luxury experience for clients across all phases of interior design.
• Integrate and apply the RH Design Ethos on residential projects worldwide.
• Lead, inspire and develop a team of elite interior designers.
• Create brand‑elevating presentations, space‑planning concepts and product selections.
• Guide clients through consultations, site visits, deliveries and installations.
• Manage multiple large‑scale architectural design projects from concept to completion.
• Support the firm’s strategic, financial and brand‑growth objectives, including hosting exclusive events.
• Maintain deep knowledge of the local luxury market and travel up to 50% internationally.

Required profile

• 15+ years of interior design experience, including architectural design and project management.
• Professional published portfolio showcasing luxury residential work.
• Proven track record leading high‑performing design teams.
• Hands‑on expertise in interior construction, custom kitchens, bathrooms and millwork.
• Previous ownership or operation of an interior design firm (preferred).
• Valid passport and driver’s licence; willingness to travel up to 50%.
• NCIDQ certification and a degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field (preferred).
