About the role

Join His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service as a Prison Officer at HMP Isle of Wight. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, protecting the public and supporting offenders on their journey to rehabilitation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safety and order within the prison by acting as a peacekeeper.
• Engage with prisoners to build constructive, professional relationships.
• Provide guidance, counselling and educational support where needed.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a secure and supportive environment.
• Cover a variety of shifts, including weekends and nights.
