Procurement Specialist – Professional Services (HR & Professional Services)

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially‑focused Procurement Specialist to join a leading renewable‑energy organisation. The role concentrates on HR and Professional Services categories, delivering strategic sourcing across a complex international business while supporting broader procurement transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing and tendering activities for HR and Professional Services.
• Develop and implement commercial sourcing strategies that maximise value and ensure governance.
• Negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance and drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) processes.
• Partner with finance and operations to support budgeting, spend management and forecasting.
• Promote sustainability and responsible sourcing within the supply chain.
• Monitor market trends, identify risks and opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Required profile

• Strong procurement experience in HR, Professional Services or indirect spend.
• Background in renewable energy, engineering, manufacturing, utilities or infrastructure is preferred.
• Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proven ability to influence and challenge stakeholders to achieve value.
• Experience managing tender processes, supplier relationships and contract negotiations.
• Outstanding communication skills and a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.
• MCIPS, Project Management qualification or similar accreditation is a plus.
