Production Security Coordinator (Freelance)

About the role

We are looking for experienced Production Security Coordinators to join our pool of freelance professionals supporting UK and EMEA film and episodic productions. In this role you will act as the central point for all security‑related incidents, ensuring the safety of talent, crew, and assets on set and at remote locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Security department on assigned productions and act as the primary liaison with production supervisors, coordinators and department heads.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve security plans and policies in line with Disney and industry standards.
• Conduct risk assessments of locations, stages, sets and offices and devise mitigation measures.
• Monitor uncontrollable risks such as severe weather, social unrest or crime and communicate relevant updates.
• Provide daily briefings to crew, enforce security compliance and manage incident response.
• Coordinate staffing and quality control with the Locations department and external security vendors.
• Serve as the on‑ground advisor to production leadership, identifying and mitigating security risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production security for film or television.
• Strong communication skills with crew, talent and senior executives.
• Ability to exercise discretion and assertiveness during emergencies.
• Understanding of production objectives and how to balance them with security needs.
• Freelance availability to be contracted directly by individual productions.
