Project Manager

About the role

Equans is seeking a Project Manager to join its Bellshill team on a permanent, full‑time basis. You will be responsible for delivering a range of construction projects across Scotland, with budgets up to £2 million, and will act as the primary client representative on site.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver multiple project works, ensuring they meet budget, risk, and profitability targets.
• Consult with clients and stakeholders to define project briefs and develop Employer Requirements.
• Coordinate consultants, designers and sub‑contractors to produce clear scopes of work.
• Manage the tender process in collaboration with commercial colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, SHEQ practices and internal policies.
• Identify, mitigate and manage statutory and commercial risks.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operational aspects of projects from inception to completion.
• Build strong relationships with clients, customers and internal support functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing construction projects of up to £2 million.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to meet financial objectives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive projects to successful completion.

Required skills

• Knowledge of CDM regulations and SHEQ processes.
• Experience with project budgeting, risk management and tendering.
