Project Manager

About the role

As a Project Manager at Howden, you will lead special projects from sales hand‑over through delivery and final payment, coordinating cross‑functional teams and ensuring smooth project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from sales hand‑over to delivery and final invoicing.
• Serve as the primary internal contact, working closely with other Project Managers and cross‑functional teams.
• Lead Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, drive timely resolutions and communicate outcomes.
• Create accurate project datasheets, load information into MRP and document‑control systems, and keep schedules up to date.
• Monitor progress, identify risks or delays early, and implement recovery actions.
• Report project status, risks, financials and forecasts to senior management.
• Oversee budgets, cash‑flow forecasting, invoicing and identify margin‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing projects or supporting project delivery in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and confidence dealing with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with ability to think laterally and drive corrective actions.
• Demonstrated leadership, influencing, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Track record of delivering against time, cost and quality targets.
• Competence with Excel, Word and Outlook.
