Publicist – Content Communications (12‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Paramount UK is seeking a passionate Publicist to join its Communications team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will help shape the conversation around a diverse slate of content, working closely with the Senior Director of Communications and a collaborative wider team.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to integrated communications strategies that support Paramount UK and 5 priorities.
• Write press releases, media briefs, award submissions and other compelling materials.
• Develop and execute audience‑first publicity campaigns across earned, social and digital channels.
• Build and maintain relationships with UK media contacts, including press, broadcast, podcasts and influencers.
• Identify and pitch story angles to maximise coverage for factual, scripted, news and sport content.
• Manage day‑to‑day press office activity and handle media enquiries.
• Collaborate with marketing, social and paid‑media teams to amplify campaigns.
• Support talent publicity, coordinate interviews and promotional opportunities.
• Monitor the media landscape for emerging trends and report campaign performance.
• Explore AI tools and emerging technologies to improve campaign efficiency.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in publicity, PR or communications within TV, streaming or related entertainment sectors.
• Strong understanding of the UK media landscape with established press contacts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a flair for storytelling.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive, curious self‑starter who enjoys taking initiative.
• Supportive, adaptable team player comfortable with flexible working hours.
