Quality Auditor – Food Production

About the role

Join a fast‑paced FMCG factory as a Quality Auditor, working in a refrigerated environment that produces short‑shelf‑life food products. You will ensure that all production processes meet strict food safety, quality and health‑and‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply food safety, quality, legal and health‑and‑safety policies.
• Provide technical support to production to maintain product specifications.
• Audit and publicise food‑safety, quality and legal requirements across packing, dispatch and stores.
• Challenge non‑conformances and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct root‑cause investigations when processes deviate from standards.
• Assist in training and assessing staff on critical food‑safety, quality and hygiene checks.
• Participate in internal and external audits, recording data and ensuring corrective actions.
• Carry out product and hygiene testing, document results and complete accurate paperwork.
• Support the Primary Quality Auditor and Quality Systems Administrator as needed.

Required profile

• Good level of English and basic numeracy.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and a flexible attitude.
• Intermediate Food Safety qualification.
• Intermediate HACCP qualification.
• Allergen Awareness training.
• Basic Health and Safety training.
• Experience in a production environment is desirable but not essential.
