Remote Accountant – Full‑time

About the role

This is a full‑time remote Accountant position with DALTON GROUP LIMITED, a utilities company based in Broxburn, UK. The role involves managing a wide range of financial activities and providing insights that support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and the general ledger.
• Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
• Handle tax filings and maintain up‑to‑date tax compliance.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management.

Required profile

• Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Hands‑on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger management.
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance standards.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CPA a plus).
• Prior experience in the utilities sector is advantageous.
