About the role
We are looking for a motivated, detail‑oriented individual to join our UK team in a hybrid role that blends Sanctions/AML monitoring with payment operations. You will be on the front line, ensuring payments are processed accurately, securely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Review real‑time transaction alerts for potential sanctions, PEP, or adverse media matches.
- Monitor payment flows, investigate stuck or failed transactions, and ensure timely processing.
- Perform initial Customer Due Diligence (CDD) on clients and beneficiaries using industry‑standard screening tools.
- Analyze suspicious behaviour, manage escalation to senior compliance members, and document investigations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external banking partners to resolve payment queries.
- Identify trends in failed transactions and suggest process improvements to enhance speed and safety.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, hands‑on attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure during peak operational hours.
- Comfort with high alert volumes and tight payment timelines.
- Eagerness to learn and progress into complex financial‑crime investigations.
- Self‑starter who takes ownership of payment flows and compliance outcomes.
