Senior Planning Manager - Major Energy Project

About the Role

Join a landmark energy project in Teesside as a Senior Planning Manager. You will play a pivotal role in driving project success by leading the planning team and ensuring absolute mastery over the project schedule within a complex EPCM environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the planning team to ensure seamless project execution and schedule control.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the client regarding all scheduling and planning matters.
• Manage end-to-end programming and progress tracking, including engineering, procurement, off-site fabrication, and construction phases.
• Coordinate closely with designers, subcontractors, suppliers, and local authorities to ensure alignment.
• Perform advanced analysis including Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM), and variance reporting.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address potential schedule delays or impacts.
• Support collaborative planning processes and manage the impact of changes on the overall program.

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record as a Planning Manager within large-scale EPCM projects.
• Extensive experience in the energy or heavy industrial sector.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders.
• Exceptional analytical mindset with a proactive approach to risk management and problem-solving.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Teesside.

Required Skills

• Expert proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Advanced Project Controls and Scheduling expertise.
• Mastery of Earned Value Management (EVM) and Critical Path Analysis.
• Strong reporting and communication skills for high-level stakeholder management.
