Senior SAP Application Consultant

About the role

Capgemini is seeking a Senior SAP Application Consultant to lead complex SAP delivery for HMRC's Tax and Revenue Management platform. You will work across the full project lifecycle, from strategic design to live deployment, influencing public‑sector technology that impacts millions of citizens.

Key responsibilities

• Guide multi‑disciplinary teams through end‑to‑end SAP solution delivery, including impact analysis, blueprints, functional specifications, build, test and cut‑over.
• Facilitate client workshops and design authority sessions, translating complex requirements into clear, actionable designs.
• Own solution governance, ensuring alignment with clean‑core principles, non‑functional requirements and compliance standards.
• Proactively manage quality, risks and delivery challenges to ensure a smooth transition to live services.
• Mentor and develop consultants, building capability in SAP TRM and related modules.
• Collaborate on strategic decisions, advising HMRC on technology roadmaps, operational efficiencies and transformation priorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading SAP delivery projects, preferably in large‑scale public‑sector implementations.
• Strong client engagement and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire high‑performing teams.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing office, client site and home‑based work.
