Pin Point Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Transport Operations Manager to spearhead our logistics operations in Port Clarence, with additional strategic oversight of our Hebburn team. This is a pivotal leadership role designed for a transport professional who excels in high-stakes environments, ensuring operational excellence and uncompromising regulatory compliance.

Missions principales

• Direct and optimize daily transport operations across both Port Clarence and Hebburn sites.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing transport teams to consistently meet and exceed operational KPIs.
• Ensure absolute compliance with all transport legislation, specifically focusing on Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive (WTD).
• Strategically manage route planning and operational efficiency to optimize costs and maximize fleet performance.
• Monitor fleet and driver performance, implementing continuous improvement initiatives and corrective actions.
• Oversee the safe and compliant handling of hazardous goods and tanker-based liquid transport.
• Conduct thorough incident investigations and implement robust preventative measures.
• Maintain exceptional service standards to ensure client reliability and satisfaction.

Profil recherche

• Must hold a valid CPC Transport Manager qualification (Mandatory).
• Proven track record in managing large-scale transport operations.
• Extensive experience in tanker transport operations (Mandatory).
• Strong expertise in DGSA / ADR regulations (Mandatory).
• Demonstrated ability in complex transport planning and logistics optimization.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on team development and accountability.
