Social Media Manager – Retail Brand

About the role

Debenhams Group is transforming its retail brand and culture, and needs a seasoned Social Media Manager to keep its social channels running smoothly. Based in Manchester, you will support the Social Lead in delivering efficient, scalable social operations that drive engagement, traffic, and revenue across Debenhams, Coast and Burton.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute day‑to‑day social activity, ensuring alignment with business priorities, trade requests and cultural moments.
• Maintain and optimise content calendars for organic and paid social, working closely with the Junior Social Content Manager.
• Collaborate with the Paid Social team to amplify high‑performing organic content through paid media.
• Build and nurture relationships with platform partners such as Pinterest, Meta, TikTok and YouTube, staying ahead of new features and beta programmes.
• Own reporting cadence, dashboards and performance tracking, delivering regular insights on campaigns and competitor activity.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and continuously improve planning, processes and governance.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience managing social media operations in a retail or consumer‑focused environment.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of using data to inform strategy.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
