Software Developer - Java Experience

About the role

Netcompany is seeking a Java‑focused Software Developer to join its Application Support (APS) team in the UK. You will work on a variety of projects, contributing to the full software development lifecycle while supporting existing platforms and participating in on‑call rotations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front‑end, back‑end and integration components.
• Perform DevOps tasks, including CI/CD pipeline management.
• Provide service support and participate in on‑call rotations.
• Plan workflows, optimise processes and ensure quality assurance.
• Implement customer requirements and design new features.
• Analyse and design overall solutions and deliver end‑to‑end functionality.
• Collaborate daily with team members throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the IT industry.
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, SQL or other document databases.
• Proven ability to write Java code and conduct unit testing.
• Familiarity with agile tools and techniques.
• Strong communication skills, professional attitude and high ambition.
• Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK and legal right to work in the UK.
