Software Engineering Team Lead (Hybrid, Bristol)

About the role

As a Software Engineering Team Lead you will work hybrid (2 days in‑office per week) in Bristol, guiding a high‑performing, cross‑functional squad while staying hands‑on with technology.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, scalable C# (.NET) code and champion automated testing.
• Drive modern architectural practices across desktop and mobile products.
• Act as delivery lead or Scrum Master, coordinating sprint planning and release cycles.
• Lead a team of five developers and a QA professional, conducting fortnightly 1:1s, performance reviews and setting objectives.
• Collaborate with internal Product and UX specialists to deliver user‑focused solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a formal software team‑lead role with direct line‑management responsibilities.
• Strong background in Agile/Scrum delivery and iterative software development.
• 5+ years of professional software development using an object‑oriented language, preferably modern C# (or Java/C++ with interest in .NET).
• High confidence in automated testing practices from unit to integration testing.
