Specialist Hygiene Technician – Croydon

About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join our Croydon team, serving Central London and surrounding areas. You will manage your own schedule and deliver a variety of hygiene cleaning services to diverse premises.

Key responsibilities

• Provide reactive hygiene cleaning services including bio‑hazard, flood water damage, infection control, police and prison cell cleaning, sharps removal, trauma and crime‑scene cleaning.
• Perform technical cleaning tasks such as factory cleans, high‑level work, silo cleaning and other specialised assignments.
• Work as part of an on‑call rota, adapting to changing weekly priorities.
• Offer expert advice to customers and maintain a professional image at all times.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for at least two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and proactive with excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work varied patterns and support business needs.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check where required.

• Competitive salary starting at £26,655 per annum plus a £2,000 allowance, with OTE around £35,000.
