STEM Graduate Teacher – Earn While You Teach (Bushey, UK)

About the role

This is a full‑time, term‑time only STEM Graduate position starting September 2026 in a secondary school in Bushey, Hertfordshire. You will work across the STEM department supporting KS3‑4 lessons, with a focus on raising attainment and the quality of learning. The role is part of a Salaried Schools Direct scheme, offering a paid Unqualified Teacher (UQT) contract and the option to gain QTS with a PGCE.

Key responsibilities

• Teach across KS3‑4 STEM subjects, delivering around 15‑20 periods per week.
• Carry out GCSE and A‑Level interventions to improve student outcomes.
• Participate in one dedicated training day per week.
• Enrol in the Aspiring STEM Teacher Programme (Schools Direct).
• Contribute to the school’s values‑driven culture and behaviour improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Desirable degree in a STEM subject (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) from a reputable university.
• Strong A‑Level and GCSE results.
• Confidence in delivering the GCSE and A‑Level curriculum.
• Ability to engage and motivate students.
• Commitment and ambition to succeed in a teaching career.
