Sustainability Consultant or Senior Sustainability Consultant (Energy)

About the role

Hoare Lea is seeking a Sustainability Consultant or Senior Sustainability Consultant (Energy) to join its team in the South West of England. The role will support large‑scale projects, lead energy‑focused workstreams and help shape sustainable design across a variety of sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior team members on large‑scale projects and take ownership of energy workstreams.
• Lead or support workshops with clients and design teams, delivering clear and concise information.
• Assist in training junior team members in workstream delivery, consultancy and project planning.
• Perform modelling and analysis, including building performance simulation (e.g., CIBSE TM54, NABERS) and Building Regulations compliance (Part L, thermal comfort).

Required profile

• Experience in sustainability consultancy or engineering projects with an energy focus.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to mentor and support junior staff.

Required skills

• Building performance simulation tools (CIBSE TM54, NABERS).
• Building Regulations Part L compliance and thermal comfort analysis.
• Energy modelling and analysis techniques.
