System Administrator – IT Infrastructure

About the role

Oracle is seeking a System Administrator to design, implement and maintain network communications and solutions for its fast‑paced database and applications environment. The role focuses on enhancing system performance, reliability and supporting data communication infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Define, design and implement network communications and solutions.
• Create and deploy system enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
• Manage load configurations of central data communication processors and recommend upgrades.
• Coordinate terminal orders, cable installations and network system planning.
• Oversee network upgrading, monitoring, testing and servicing activities.
• Approve action requests, specify purchase requisitions and negotiate with common carriers.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior System Administrators.

Required profile

• Career level IC4 or equivalent experience in system administration.
• Strong understanding of network communications and data center operations.
• Ability to manage configuration, upgrade and monitoring processes.
• Experience coordinating hardware orders and working with carriers.
• Leadership potential to guide a team of System Administrators.
