About the role
We are seeking an empathetic Teaching Assistant to support pupils with mild special educational needs in a busy mainstream secondary school in Watford. The role involves one‑to‑one and small‑group work, helping students develop confidence, independence and emotional regulation.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for students with ASD or behavioural needs.
- Implement individual learning and behaviour plans during lessons and activities.
- Promote emotional regulation, confidence and independence.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver inclusive education.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (professional or personal).
- Patient, understanding and resilient attitude.
- Willingness to obtain a valid DBS check.
