Test Team Operative / Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Test Team Operative/Technician to join Vertiv’s facility in Campsie, Derry/Londonderry. You will be responsible for safely conducting electrical tests on low‑voltage (LV) and high‑voltage (HV) switchgear, ensuring product quality and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety standards in live‑testing areas.
• Ensure all test tools and equipment are safe, fit for purpose and inspected.
• Perform predefined electrical tests on LV and HV switchgear using appropriate equipment.
• Record test results accurately in both digital and manual formats.
• Verify results against acceptable values and upload reports to the system repository.
• Assist with fault diagnosis and remedial actions.
• Use the Change Order system to flag design issues and mark up electrical drawings.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and the CAD team to process Change Orders.
• Attend pre‑FAT/FWT handover meetings and FAT/FWT sessions with clients.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of LV switchgear and its control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering technical drawings.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork mindset.
