Tooling Technician – Manufacturing

About the role

Antolin is seeking a dedicated Tooling Technician to join its UK manufacturing site. You will be responsible for maintaining injection moulding, vacuum forming, and punch tools, ensuring smooth production flow and minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain all onsite injection moulding, vacuum forming, and punch tools according to the preventative maintenance system.
• Respond promptly to tooling breakdowns and carry out effective repairs.
• Complete Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks within scheduled timeframes.
• Keep tooling, plant, and workshop areas clean, tidy, and safe.
• Accurately complete required documentation and follow spares tracking processes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Tooling Department.
• Provide fault‑finding on injection mould tools and assist other engineering disciplines when needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Tooling Technician, Toolmaker, or in a toolroom environment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving abilities for tooling faults.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, tooling schematics, maintenance manuals, and precision tolerances.
• Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork with production, engineering, and maintenance teams.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, planned maintenance, and breakdown response.
• Relevant technical qualifications in Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (apprenticeship advantageous).
