Travelling Wind Turbine Technician (Goole)

About the role

Join EDF Power Solutions as a travelling Wind Turbine Technician based at our Goole service centre. You will work on a growing fleet of turbines across the UK, supporting the rollout of new assets and maintaining high operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical onboarding of newly acquired turbines, focusing on GE and Senvion platforms.
• Become a Multi‑Skilled Authorised Technician under EDFR Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
• Undertake major component replacements (gearbox, generator, transformer).
• Perform complex fault finding and repairs on electrical, hydraulic and converter systems, both on‑site and remotely.
• Execute scheduled maintenance to the highest standards.
• Participate in internal and external technical and safety training.
• Work in a two‑person party within a supportive team environment.

Required profile

• Physically fit and safety‑focused, comfortable working at height and in remote locations.
• Enthusiastic about renewable energy and green initiatives.
• Willing to travel across the UK and be based within 45 minutes of the Goole site.

Required skills

• Electrical maintenance experience on three‑phase or heavy‑plant systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and converter systems.
• Ability to carry out major component replacements (gearbox, generator, transformer).
• Understanding of high‑voltage single‑feed systems and wind turbine safety rules.
