Wayleave Officer - Fiber Network Infrastructure

About the Role

Join Viberoptix, a proud subsidiary of the Fibrus Group, and play a pivotal role in the expansion of high-speed fiber connectivity. As a Wayleave Officer based in Cumbria, you will be the key facilitator in securing the essential access rights required to connect customers to our growing fiber network.

Main Missions

• Conduct detailed field audits and comprehensive land searches to identify necessary access points.
• Negotiate and secure wayleave agreements with private landowners, business parks, industrial zones, and local authorities.
• Coordinate all planning requirements and formal consents to ensure project continuity.
• Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders, including local councils, housing associations, and utility providers.
• Organize and lead professional meetings with property owners and management agents.
• Serve as the main point of contact for landlords and legal representatives to finalize documentation.
• Perform on-site visits to obtain physical signatures and ensure all legal requirements are met.
• Ensure strict compliance with internal company policies and all relevant industry regulations.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in wayleave negotiation, land rights, or property management within the telecommunications or utility sector.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders, from private individuals to legal professionals.
• Excellent organizational skills with a proactive approach to field audits and site visits.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams including Planning, Construction, and Installation.
• Highly autonomous and capable of managing complex stakeholder relationships.
