About the role
We are seeking a Web & Content Officer to support the ongoing development of our website and champion user‑centred design. You will act as the voice of the customer, ensuring the site is accessible, easy to use and aligned with real needs.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the council’s website using the content management system.
- Provide advice and guidance to other content designers.
- Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, UX best practices and SEO.
- Analyse website performance with tools such as Google Analytics or Siteimprove and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with developers, project managers and external agencies to deliver cohesive digital projects.
Required profile
- GCSE English Grade C (4) or equivalent literacy and numeracy.
- Experience working with content management systems and web content processes.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive, level‑headed approach.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly.
