Yard & Despatch Operative

About the Role

Join Marshalls Civils and Drainage, a subsidiary of the UK market leader Marshalls plc, as a Yard/Despatch Operative at our Pollington (Goole) site. This is a pivotal role within our logistics chain, ensuring the seamless and secure movement of products to our valued customers and partners.

Main Missions

• Ensure the secure and efficient dispatch of products in accordance with operational requirements.
• Prepare and load stock accurately, following strict safety and quality guidelines.
• Manage all loading and dispatch documentation for Marshalls, external carriers, and customer vehicles.
• Provide essential support to drivers, including handling daily queries, loading coordination, and collections.
• Manage yard communications via email and telephone to maintain smooth operational flow.
• Participate in general yard operations, including loading/unloading, site maintenance, and safety inspections.
• Adhere to company procedures regarding safety, quality, waste reduction, and KPI monitoring.

• Flexibility to work full-time (40h/week) with availability for overtime and various shifts.
