Academic Services Coordinator – Higher Education Operations

About the role

The Academic Services Coordinator supports the delivery of academic operations at BIMM University, ensuring that quality assurance, assessment, governance and regulatory compliance are managed effectively. Working across specialist areas, the role helps maintain consistent, accurate processes that meet institutional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage key academic operations within assigned areas, applying regulations, policies and procedures consistently.
• Oversee workstreams to meet agreed standards, deadlines and service expectations.
• Lead administration of assessment, progression and award processes, including preparation for academic boards.
• Maintain and analyse data in institutional systems, producing reports and identifying trends or risks.
• Provide clear guidance to colleagues on academic regulations, policies and procedures.
• Deliver governance support such as committee administration, documentation, record keeping and action tracking.
• Build effective relationships across the university to ensure a joined‑up approach to academic services.
• Contribute to process review and enhancement to improve efficiency, compliance and service quality.

Required profile

• Experience working in higher education or another regulated professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of academic regulations, policies and procedures, with confidence applying them in practice.
• Experience handling complex operational activity and making informed decisions within established frameworks.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate tasks effectively.
