Acquisitions Manager – Residential, PBSA & Development

About the role

MCR Property Group is seeking an experienced Acquisitions Manager to lead the identification and acquisition of residential, purpose‑built student accommodation (PBSA) and commercial development opportunities across the UK. The role combines strategic sourcing, financial appraisal and negotiation to support the company’s ambitious growth pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Source and assess acquisition opportunities on and off market across residential, PBSA and commercial sectors.
• Perform development appraisals, residual valuations and cash‑flow analysis for sites of varying scale.
• Coordinate input from external consultants and professional advisers.
• Negotiate commercial terms with landowners, developers and agents.
• Review and assist in negotiating legal agreements.
• Identify value‑creation opportunities while managing risk.

Required profile

• Minimum five years’ experience in acquisitions, development or a related real‑estate discipline.
• Strong commercial understanding of the residential market and development potential.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities and evaluate associated risks.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders and financial partners.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment and manage multiple projects.
• Established network within the UK real‑estate industry.
• Willingness to travel nationally and work remotely when required.
