Actuarial Associate Consultant

About the role

We are partnering with a leading pensions consultancy to hire an Actuarial Associate Consultant in London. The role supports scheme actuarial work, risk‑transfer transactions and end‑game planning for pension schemes, helping trustees and sponsors navigate complex strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise trustees and sponsors on de‑risking, buy‑in and buy‑out strategies.
• Support pension risk‑transfer transactions and engage with insurers.
• Perform actuarial valuations, analysis and assumption setting.
• Coordinate projects across actuarial, investment, administration and legal teams.
• Build client relationships and contribute to presentations and proposals.
• Support schemes through end‑game planning and post‑transaction activity.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified or qualified actuary.
• UK pensions actuarial experience.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Confident communicator able to explain complex issues clearly.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple projects.
