Aftercare Manager

About the role

The Aftercare Manager will be the face of the moment residents receive the keys to their new home. You will own the entire after‑care journey, turning defect lists into five‑star experiences while building lasting relationships with residents and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the after‑care inbox and phone line to ensure no issue is missed.
• Run pre‑completion snagging, prepare units for handover and coordinate key collection.
• Conduct resident handover days, including home demos and key hand‑over.
• Log, allocate and chase defects until rapid closure.
• Develop strong relationships with residents, subcontractors and building managers.
• Perform regular site visits, compliance checks and quick‑fix maintenance across the portfolio.

Required profile

• Solid grounding in construction handover, property management or related fields.
• Calm, organised and personable under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to juggle multiple live developments simultaneously.

Required skills

• Construction handover knowledge
• Property management experience
• Working knowledge of the Building Safety Act
• Familiarity with EWS1 assessments
• Understanding of NHBC Buildmark standards
• Knowledge of HNRS requirements
